The Technology...❤️

Technology has made the world a global village. It has made our lives easy and fast. However, technology is like a double edged weapon. It has advantages and disadvantages too. As a major advantage, technology made great progress in medical field. For travelling, we have many super-fast modern vehicles. For communication, we have many equipment. Distance is not a problem any longer. We can know anything happens in the world within seconds because of the technology. We can even shop, book tickets, channel doctors, read books, watch films, listen to music through internet just by sitting our room. Things like AC, electric cookers, fridge have made our lives easier. There are some disadvantages too. The main problem is; technology has made men machine addicted. It will shorten our lifespan due to the lack of physical activity. Various machines make us lazy. This can cause different diseases like diabetes, obesity, blood pressure, cancers etc. there is less direct communication among people. It causes many social problems.
We should learn to use the modern technology wisely and lead a healthy life.

Kumaratunga Munidasa was a pioneer Sri Lankan (Sinhalese) linguist, grammarian, commentator, writer, poet, and journalist. Munidasa was born on 25th July, 1887 in Dickwella, Mathara.
